I went and watched this Undersea 3D movie in IMax today, anyone who likes fish should check it out, it goes into hippy land for a while but its still interesting.

Awsome John!!! I love aquariums but hate the maintenance involved. Especially one that size.

Just substitute "kids" for "aquariums" -

and you'll hear what my father used to tell everyone about me

Hey thanks! There isn't really that much maintenance once everything is running good. Just change out the filters and do a 20% water change every 3 weeks or so. Once my planted tanks are fully mature I hardly have to touch 'em.

And I still have room for two or three more here!

No, she just likes looking at them. She's got her bunnies and I have my reptiles and fish. :D

So I've been bored with my 29gal tropical comminity tank. Especially since its sitting next to my newly setup cichlid tank. The gravel substrate isn't all that appealing either so I decided to take it apart, clean and put sand in it. It looks so much better now and fish seem happy with their newly remodeled home. :D

Here it is with just about all the water out.

Now I gotta take it out clean it.

Almost good to go. I had this driftwood soaking for a while but it was still too buoyant so I screwed on an old plastic plate to the bottom to keep it submerged.

Yay! New home! :D

Now I'll have to save up for my 125 and 180 gallon tanks.

You are the aquanator! I used to have a 50gal. and had one of those "fiddler" crabs with the one big claw. He would go to the top of the lava rock in the middle of the tank and hold that one big claw in the air like he was king of the tank! What a clown, he was worth having around just for the entertainment value!
