2009-03-28: Table Mountain

Post by BorregoWrangler » Sun Mar 29, 2009 10:19 am

Well, I was sure bummed that I wasn't able to make it to Calico. However, my family needed some help with some stuff this weekend anyway, so I stayed in town. Kinda. My mom wanted to get out for a bit so I took her on a quick tour of the Jacumba and Table Mountain area. The weather was great. Everything was pretty green out there too. And it looks like the quail are doing good out there as well. This was only the second time my mom has been out in the Jeep:

"Oh, aren't your tires gonna get cut?"
"Are we going to get stuck?"
"Oh no, we're not going to make it! Oh, I guess that wasn't that bad."

We missed you yesterday at Calico. I'll start a report thread on the trip after this post. I recognize a few of those spots. Looks like you and your mom had a good time. How's the Jeep running???

Thanks, Ollie. I really wanted to head out there. The Jeep is doing good. I replaced the ujoints and fixed the oil leak. Now I just gotta get the exhaust welded up in a few spots.

I didn't want to scare her too much, so I didn't take the 'man route.' Oh, I forgot about that mine at the end. I gotta check that out again. Just let me know whenever ya want to head on out there.
