hi everyone.

Post by blueduster » Thu Apr 09, 2009 9:56 am

name is david. i'm in the vegas area. found you guys durring an image search of the pinyon mt trail. a buddy was wanting to know more after seeing my pics, as obviously i couldn't fit my full size through there.

my favorite spots are the spring mt range near vegas, moab, borrego springs, panimint mts and the sierra nv range. i'm a long time member of ramchargercentral.com . nothing against jeeps, toys or nissans, i just love full size rigs. i have two kids and a dog and need the room. also i can tow my duster that i'm building, can't tow with a small rig.

David:

I completely understand the "full size" thing. It gets harder and harder to stuff the family and gear into my rig and I am continually on the lookout for places to stow things.

You are very fortunate to have so many good places to wheel that are near you. Post up pictures of your runs. Welcome aboard!

Howdy and welcome to the site. Love the full-size. Man, Borrego springs, panimint mts and the sierra nevada range- you know all the good areas! Be sure to post up when you think might be doing surprise/southpark canyons in may. I've really been wanting to head out there and hope I can swing it next month.

Welcome to the site. My uncle that lives in Norwood, CO had a Dodge Ram Charger with the 440, high-rise, and dual double-pumper Holley's that was a beast. I have a few very fond memories of hairy rides in the mountains in that thing. You put that thing in 4-wheel drive and she went wherever it was pointed and fast.

thanks. if i could afford to trailer a rig i'd seriously think about a big block. as it is i have an efi 360 magnum i hope to get installed before my next moab trip in sept. even 2-3mpg better would make a huge difference. i think i may be able to get 16mpg. maybe. my old 95 ram got 14mpg hwy. the 95 has better areo but i'm a 1000lbs lighter. both have 33's and 3.55 gears. i'm getting 12-13 now with the original 360/4 barrel and the nv4500. i was getting 8-10mpg with the 727 auto and full time t-case.
