What file type are you using. Jpeg or png would be a smaller file size.
Tiff wouldbe good if the intent was a printed map, butfor display jpeg or png. would be smaller and faster to load for tracking.

All 7 of the maps are in tiff. If we had more time, I might be inclined to do it all over again. Since we all have NG Topo! on our laptops, I can take a few minutes at camp to create the maps for those who want it.
I was able to get an answer from NG today regarding our inability to copy one map that would cover the entire area that we will be traveling. This was their response:
It seems that the word, "massive", may be subject to more than one definition. Oh well.TOPO! was not designed for massive level 5 image transfer. Unfortunately, we do not have a workaround other than transferring several smaller images rather than one massive image.
