I love the UI-View32 for APRS; it is very intuitive, and has terrific help menus for setup and functionality. The major shortcoming, IMO, are the maps it has available. While it provides some rudimentary maps, and you can pull screen shots from MS Street & Trips to import (along with other static maps using different methods), a moving, street-level map set was hard to find - until now.
Undertow Software offers Precision Mapping v8.1, which, when used with a 3rd party map server (PMapserver7, available at no charge to UI-View32 registered users), provides street-level detail including POI for the entire US. It is easy to zoom in and out (using page up / page down keys), and is a true moving map - as you leave an area, the server software will load the correct map page for your GPS coordinates. Detailed maps with a transparent server system - what more could you ask for ???
Well, you could ask for it to be free; but you'd be disappointed

Seriously, though, Precision Mapping and Traveler v8.1 is inexpensive at $49.95 plus shipping. The one important note - don't load the software with the included instructions !!! You must follow special step by step procedure for loading PMapserver7 and then install the Precision Mapping software as shown on the UI-View32 site (www.UI-View32.org).
Precision Mapping v8.1 also works as a stand alone GPS / map program, too, for those looking for an alternative to MS Streets & Trips.
