OAUSA Template/Background Changes
If you go to the "User Control Panel" then "Board Preferences" then "Board Style" you will now see a drop-down menu that contains 7 different templates for you as individuals to choose for your own favorite forum layout. Different styles offer different things, On some of the styles the "view new posts" button is on every page. Some of them even put the avator on the left instead of the right like you've been requesting. Let us know what you think. These new styles require code writing to create. They were preloaded with the software and I just figured out how to allow you all to change them based on your preference.

Hey, nice. I've tried Jungle and Softgreen. Very cool. Need to check this out people, you might find something that you like. For me, today, I'm feeling like "Jungle".

Re: OAUSA Template/Background Changes
QUICK OBSERVATIONS:
Hey Ollie, those other board templates don't all have edit buttons for posts etc. I would stick with the OUSA style and just edit that one the way that people suggest. If you would like more help in this department, I'd be willing to help your tech guy if the templates are edited via a WYSIWYG type of software. I don't do code anymore.

I like the soft green. It's close to the old site's colors, avatars on the left and view new posts on every page!

Re: OAUSA Template/Background Changes
This works excellent, and should help to make the site fel a bit more familiar to some who were unhappy with the default layout. Thanks.

Re: OAUSA Template/Background Changes
I tried 3 of the different styles. At least one looked real good, but I couldn't make the font larger like the OAUSA style. So for now I will stay with what we got. At least I can make the print larger and can read it without putting on my glasses.

Yea, that's my only gripe with the soft green, no font size thingy...mbisson wrote:I tried 3 of the different styles. Re: OAUSA Template/Background Changes
The other problem with the soft green template is you can't seem to get back to the landing page - you're stuck in the forums.
My general observation is the navigation controls aren't consistent across all the templates.
But, as an immediate fix for some of the concerns people have raised about the look & feel it has some benefits.

Re: OAUSA Template/Background Changes
Very cool Ollie. A much better feel and layout at lest to me.
I really like the colors, layout and feel of "Jungle" but i couldn't find a reply button or quote button in the threads.
"Softgreen" and "Subsilver" are very similar I think the colors are the only difference. which is a good thing cause I liked "Softgreen" except the colors when checked it out real quick, so when I came to "Subsilver" I was glad to see some better colors used.
But thanks a bunch for the options.

Because in the end it has almost nothing to do with the bike and everything to do with setting
out to accomplish something that is intimidating, that is unknown to you, something you know you
have a good chance of failing at but doing it anyways and slowly but surely proving yourself wrong.
