Well last thursday night, we loaded up the jeep with our camping and fishing gear and headed on out to the river to meet the rest of our family and friends. Just outside Yuma, AZ, we found our way to the dirt road that takes you to Ferguson Lake, along the Colorado River. The weather sure was warm, about 106* and at night 90*. My parents, sister and friend each had a boat so most of our time was spent out on the water. I caught a few large mouth and nice sized bluegill around the lake and some channel catfish and stripped bass from a sandbar out on the river. It was great and the bugs weren't bad at all.
The back patio.
As I try to enjoy my coffee, my niece blows bubbles.
My parent's boat.
My buddy's boat.
My sister's boat. Hey, where's mine?
Relaxing on a sandbar.
I start catching fish and all the kids start coming over!
One, two, three, smile! What?
Kids can fly!
Show-off.
Time for some tubing on the lake!
The end to a great day...
Squaw Lake. I've caught some big flatheads in there.
On the way home, stuck in 130* heat. Thank goodness for AAA!
