There is a shop in Chula Vista on Broadway that I drive by quite often. It is called Super Trucks. Usually there is a fairly insanely jacked up Silverado parked out front. Now they have an even bigger beast our there. I had to stop and get some pictures. I have never seen an H2 set up this high.

WOW @ the shock/tire clearance and the angle of the tie rod end. Look at those wheel spacers too...

Yeah, it's impressive, all right... I guess if you need a vehicle to validate your masculinity, there's yer boy !!!

The market for those hyper-lifted monster trucks is virtually zero nowadays - chances are you'll be seeing it on that lot for a while....

I'd say it was built to be a billboard for the shop.

The only large trucks I see there are the ones owned by the people who work there. When I took the pictures they were working on the engine of a 4-Runner in one bay and changing the oil in a Honda Civic in the other.

That makes sense - it definitely attracts your attention when you drive by....

There are a few shops in the San Bernadino / Riverside area that specialize in big lifts for trucks, but with the economy in the dump and folks losing jobs and homes in those areas at record rates, I'm guessing there aren't going to be as many "street tanks" rolling around as there used to be...

We have quite a few roll into our shop trying to fix the various driveline / suspension issues lifts of that size tend to induce. Most of the folks who bought those trucks loved the look of them, but had no idea what they were getting into from a maintenance / repair point of view when you use them as a daily driver....Big dough fro very little "go", IMO (although they do look impressive

).

Yikes. For all the money that someone invested in this boulevard cruiser, you'd think that they would have at least dumped the IFS in favor of some beef - at least a Dana 60. If they didn't upgrade the gears and the axles, with those tires, I wouldn't be wandering too far from the repair shop.

But since the beast probably never sees the dirt..................................

The way that baby is set up, it probably never sees much asphalt, either ....
