2009-05-16: Otay Mtn Tour Report

Post by dionysius » Sat May 16, 2009 3:56 pm

It was looking kind of gloomy early this morning, but all that changed by the time everyone got together. Great seeing everyone and meeting new folks too. Nice and easy ride up the Minnewawa trail over to the west side for some trail riding. Here some pictures of today's ride.

Thanks for getting this started Denis. I just got home and cleaned up. Ill get some pics up in a bit. What a great day it turned out to be. We ended up having to tow a guy up frpom the homested (Mocogo Ranch). He showed up behind us in a pre-runner (2WD) Frontier and got in over his head. Good times. :)

Yep... This appears to be the same scenario (and spot) that you and Craig ran into with the Ford that time. This guy, however, couldn't even make it through the loose dirt and rocks on the flat part at the bottom of the hill without hitting it with excessive speed. We all need to learn... He was fortunate that we were out there for this educational experience. However, if we weren't there when he came out there, he may not of even attempted to go down that waterfall. :?

Great video Craig. Want to see how you ended up installing the mount. Take some pics of it. ;)
