2009-05-21 thru 31: Finally taking a vacation !!!

Well, it's been about 6 years, but I'm finally going to take a vacation !!!

My younger son just finished his freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University (He made the DEAN'S LIST - proud dad interuption ). He and his girlfriend are touring through the US via Amtrak, and my wife and I are meeting them in Denver on Friday. From there we will make our way to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks to check out some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Then back home for the summer...

I won't be wheeling on this trip (I won't even be taking the FJ ), but I will try to remember to take some pics to post up when I get back...and due to lack of internet in many areas, I may not be posting much over the next ten days...

So, hope everyone has a great Labor Day, and I'll keep in touch...

Oh, yeah, and did I mention:

Thanks - Yeah, it's tough being away from the FJ, especially driving through Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park in Utah today. Wow, the red striated rock formations, beautiful blue sky, and the hot, breezy weather would have been perfect for a cruise in the FJ, but, alas, that will have to wait for another time...of course, getting 35 MPG helps to make up for the pain of separation
