Where am I?

Post by ssc » Fri Jul 17, 2009 9:59 pm

The wife and I went for a putt a few years ago. I came across some pictures and it took me a few minutes to figure out where we were. Care to guess?

Regards, SSC

It is not South Dakota. Raphie has it. It is hwy 50 east of Fallon, but it is Middlegate. So you are close. In the last picture I left a sign way in the background. It was like driving into the past. This hwy is known as the lonely highway. We rode for miles at a time without ever seeing anyone. Went across to Utah and rode the parks, Kanab and flagstaff, grandcanyon. When west on the 40 and got caught in a horrible desert storm. From calm and 100 to windly 60 mph and lightning and 55 degrees with rain so thick it was impossible to see. Got off in Seligman and as we went over a cattle guard which was under water and all the goop had risen up , down we went. No damage, we were going slow and then off to Laughlin.

This was in June and we got caught in a terrible storm going to Reno. Snow and hail and rain. Wind gusts over 50mph and cold cold cold.
