July 16, 2009 OAUSA Net - California Firearm Laws

Post by DaveK » Fri Jul 17, 2009 9:20 am

We went for a little over 2 hours last night in a very good round table discussion of California's laws as they relate to the possession and transportation of firearms. We had our resident Attorney available to help clarify the confusing and difficult laws and we scored 39 check-ins.

It might be a good idea to make a sticky in the guns / firearms section with some of the specific regulations and misconceptions, for the benefit of the general membership who did not have access to the net, and may not have time to listen to the entire recording...This would certainly be of benefit in the reduction of possible "issues" at any OAUSA santioned outdoor events in the future, IMO.

I've been registered at OpenCarry.org for awhile now. Often thought about starting to carry but haven't done it yet. :?

Ah, shoot, Dave...   (pun intended ;) )

I listened for as long as I had reception....I just think an informed membership is a plus, and no matter what side of an issue you are on, you should be aware of the current laws regarding that issue. ;) :D
