It would be possible to send and RF verification by changing a callsign on a borrowed station, but what is the point? Without having a station with text entry capability. The utility would be severely limited.OLLIE wrote:If you are an amateur radio operator but do not have an APRS set up or are not able to send messages via your current APRS rig and want to be verified to send messages via OpenAPRS let me know via PM. APRS Messaging from PC

Re: APRS Messaging from PC
The idea would be to be able to send test messages and communicate to guys with APRS in the field when you are stuck at home or at work. DaveK was setting at work this week watching and messaging me while I was traveling to and from Mexicali.hmfigueroa wrote:It would be possible to send and RF verification by changing a callsign on a borrowed station, but what is the point? I'm getting a page that simply says "It works!" when going to www.openaprs.net. Anybody else getting this?
BTW, Ollie, did you get my second attempt at messaging you?

Are you getting the "it works" message when you go to openaprs.net website? The truth is that the website was down for about 4 or 5 days but it is back up now and working fine.
