Topak (sp) Gorge right? Beautiful place. Our scouts canoe from Park Moabi to Castle Rock every September. Pray for tail winds this year!!! Last year we had brutal head winds and that little 17 mile trek down the Colorado was a  :o  .

You aren't one of those boaters that likes to buzz us poor canoeists are you? Usually it's the jerks on PWC's and not boats.

Yes, that is the gorge. I saw a large group of canoe's going south into the gorge two weeks ago. I try to leave plenty of distance between myself and the canoe's. The pwc drive me nuts.

We ride and love our PWCs. Please don't lump us all in one group. We are courteous of others space. Although my boats name is "No Tree HUGRS", that's only because they want ALL motor vehicles banned.

Actually, it seems fishermen hate wakeboarders & skiiers, skiiers hate PWCers, and PWCers just try to survive all the blind boaters. I like all of these activities so I hate everyone!

Not really, it just shows how pointless it is to group everyone together. Go ahead & hate the inconsiderate, rude PWCers, but respect the rest! And realize that there are rude, stupid, idiotic boaters, fishermen, and wakeboarders out there too!

I'd love a HAvasu run, we spend half our summer there!

Have you tried the run up Boriana Mine Rd and into the Hualapais yet (comes out in Kingman)?

I had the pleasure of running this from the Kingman side through. Coming from CA, I never really considered there might be such a perfect mountain range made up almost entirely of open BLM land. The whole trip makes for a good after lunch overnight run, or could probably be squeezed into a day if you left early (but what's the fun it that?).

Not familiar with that run. One more to put on the list. I am sure it will take us a year or more to explore it all. We are heading back out to Havasu this Wed for some more boating and wheeling. Going to hit the trails north east of Parker on Fri or Sat. If anyone is interested, feel free to join us.

Depending on how far NE you venture, Swansea would be worth checking out... you can even camp IN the ghost town.

That is one of the places we plan on going. Plans will change depending on the heat.
For me, camping is a three star hotel.

Anyone planning anything the rest of this year? Unfortunately Summer is my busy season & we don't get out as much as we used to. We might get one more trip in September for water (and/or offroad) play before it gets too chilly. We've never really gone off roading there & don't know where to go.

We went to Mohave last month. It is cleaner than Havasu and a little colder. Definitely not enough access, but it was pretty cool launching north of Kathrine Landing with no paved ramp. It was a very low sloped launch and I had to go out so far that a wave broke inside the FJ and I barely got the new ham radio out from under the seat in time.

Both of our kids families have homes in Havasu and we used to just stay in one of their houses, but they both had to rent them full time. So now we have to find other accommodations. It was nice not having that hassle AND expense!

I'd say there's a pretty good chance of that.
