Charity Ride to Fight Multiple Sclerosis

Post by BruisedFJ » Tue Aug 18, 2009 7:22 pm

Hi all,

Last year I joined in Sony Electronics' long tradition of cycling in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Bay to Bay bike tour to help raise funds for the organization. The 27th annual Bike MS Bay to Bay Tour takes place on October 10 & 11th, 2009 and this year I want to beat my previous year's level of fund raising. I'd like your help to accomplish that. If you still have some room left in your charitable giving budget, please consider donating to this cause to help fight MS. I've collected $405 from co-workers and family, and I hope to cross the $700 mark.

To help inspire my donors, I'm riding 100 miles from Irvine to Carlsbad instead of the 30 mile circuit. This is more than I've ever ridden in a two day span. Also, I am riding in honor of two special people. The first is Anne Good, a decades long friend of my Mother's, who has been challenged by MS for much of her life. Another is Exene Cervenka, member of the preeminent punk band X, who was recently diagnosed with MS. I have gotten tons of joy from listening to X over the years. So it is for Exene and Anne that I ask for your help.

Paste the below link into your web browser to visit my NMSS fund raising web page and help me in my efforts to support the National MS Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter.

Or, if you are a cyclist and can join the ride, go to http://www.biketofinishms.com, or send me a private message and I'll tell you how to sign up.

Thank you so much for any help you can give.
