I was the only one in the vehicle and thank goodness nobody got hurt. The initial assessment is that the vehicle is repairable. The problem is that the damn adjuster from AAA is taking his sweet a$$ time assessing the damage so the FJ has been setting untouched since Saturday. My dog has started nipping and biting at my wife and son since the new baby has joined us. When I'm around he doesn't act up but when I'm gone he becomes unpredictable. With the baby in the picture and no time to properly work with him we tried finding a new home for him. We tried shelters and everything. Everyone of them gave us the same story. They won't take him because he of the biting issue. So last night I had to take him to our vet and have him put down. We've had him for three years and despite his behavior he had become part of the family. A lot of you met him on the trail a time or two. He hated riding in the vehicle but loved to run in the outdoors.
To make matters even worse, yesterday afternoon I booked a plane ticket back to NE in early October. I will be missing our Bass Pro Event. My mom has to have brain surgery because she has a tumor growing on and around her inner ear. It is malignant but this type of tumor doesn't stop growing. It's already too big for radiation so surgery is the only option. Again... Many of you have met Momollie on the trail and she has grown fond of a lot of you.
So.... We will see how this all turns out...
I hope they fix it right and not try to cut any corners. Keep on them and make sure it gets done right.
