Border Pictures

Here's some pictures from Sycamore Canyon, Marron Valley and Cottonwood Creek. Cloudy days make for good pictures, kind of like nature's light box.

Denis, those are some great pics. The first one looks like you bought it! Were you hiking up in Sycamore Cyn?

The first one is of Sycamore Canyon from a vantage point of some of the higher hills back there. I just put a border around the picture to make it look more presentable. That would be just the other side of the dry falls run we did there last year by Otay Mountain. Unfortunately the park rangers took the BLM sign for limited use out of there and now we aren't supposed to use that route from Otay Lakes Road. We still have access to the dry falls and all that.

The other pictures are in Mine Canyon or Marron Valley, just north of the border. That's Tecate Peak in the third shot. Those trails are a great ride, nothing too difficult. The last one is on top of Otay with the cloud cover right about at the same elevation.

Here's Marron Valley from the small helo pad the BP made from a small hill. Really tranquil out there, nothing but some stray cattle now and then. Pat Brown made this one a Picture of the Day for her weather show.
