We will not divulge drivers name! :D Now if I could just get both versions with a hummer or both with an FJ ...
But really - how cool is it to see the results of two different lines at the same spot with such striking results. Educational!!
See you on the Trail!

I've taken the outside route before and the inside. The H3 was never close to rolling at all... I can't believe people on this site.... The video was posted for enjoyment not to be picked apart and end up being a FJ vs H3 thing... Oh boy I have an FJ and I went to the outside and didn't pick-up a tire on that turn... What a Joke!!!!

Hey ChasH3,
I hope you are not really upset. This wasn't about H3 vs. FJ or even trying to pick apart your video. As an instructor, I have never before had a video (really the 2 together) that so dramatically shows the point I try to make about wheel cheat. I also felt that explaining the dynamics going on would be beneficial in increasing driving skills for the group. I will not use your video and I will make any adjustment you wish in my prior posts. Just let me know.
See you on the Trail!

I hope you are not being serious. No one has picked apart either video or either vehicle.

Jeez Byron, talk about forgetting your Midol, I think your totally over reacting? Nobody attacked the Hummer or you. I've taken the inside line and you were right behind me, no big deal. Just take it slow and easy. Tom was just presenting the physics of the situation, it was not meant to pit driver against driver or rig against rig.

You also missed a very important statement Tom made.
Now if I could just get both versions with a hummer or both with an FJ ...

At risk of having this spin out of control, I'll comment. First, I never made any comparision of the FJ v. H3. Indeed, I didn't even mention the FJ or the H3 in my post. So I'm not sure where this "oh boy I have an FJ" comment came from. Second, that I took the outside line is an objective fact as demonstrated by the video and was not a critique of your video. Finally, I posted the video as a favor to Tom because I attended his classes and knew the point he was making. When I attended his class he used models to illustrate this point. To have actual video of two vehicles taking different lines at the same turn (and the consequences thereof) would have been invaluable in a classroom setting.

You're welcome to continue to make the "FJ v. H3" argument, just as long as you're aware that you're the only one making it.

Hardluck, no worries... Besides I am not upset over this and I don't mind if he uses the vid for class...

Cool...no worries here as well. The thing that got me going was the whole FJ v. H3 thing...I know there are alot of people with an FJ superiority complex, I'm just not one of them...
