Try to make reservations for the Mitchell Caverns ahead of time if possible. They are in close proximity to the main highway and are such a popular tourist attraction the tours book up early even during the week. If you don't make the tour the view from the Cavern's parking lot is outstanding and makes a great lunch stop. Sounds like a great trip.ralphie wrote:I'm doing the mohave road Nov 9-13, and am posting to see if anybody else would like to go, I know it's during the week but i work the weekends, i have two rigs going as of this post, we are camping at cerathers cyn for the first night then on to hole-in-the -wall for the second night, i would like to see mitchell caverns and providence ghost town and other stuff, so post up if you want to go!

Re: mohave road trip
Normally I could go most any time during the week, I'm self employed. Unfortunately that week I have plans that would prevent me from going.ralphie wrote:I'm doing the mohave road Nov 9-13, and am posting to see if anybody else would like to go, I know it's during the week but i work the weekends, i have two rigs going as of this post, we are camping at cerathers cyn for the first night then on to hole-in-the -wall for the second night, i would like to see mitchell caverns and providence ghost town and other stuff, so post up if you want to go!
Please let me know if you do another run during the week in the future.
It' may be cold in Caruthers Canyon, it's snowed on us the last two times we camped there. A beautiful place.
Consider camping at Seventeenmile Point one night. It's right along the Mojave Road and you'll wake up to a beautiful view.
Re: mohave road trip
ralphie, I would like to join your group for the Mojave Trail run.
I live in Las Vegas and need to know where you and the others are going to meet.
I have made the Mojave Trail trip a number of times with other groups and have enjoyed
it more each time. Most of to other events have been for a weekend.

Re: mohave road trip
Man, I was just thinking about this! Too bad this will be during the week. I wanna try to get out there again in a few months. There's still just so much to see!
Re: mohave road trip
Thanks for the invite, but I can’t go that week.ralphie wrote:.... I know it's during the week but i work the weekends,.....
BUT I do work half of the weekends every year and have a lot of weekdays off. Good to see other’s may be able to do weekday trips. I prefer to go with other’s, solo trips lack some of the fun.
Please anyone post up any others weekday trips you plan, I’ll try and do the same.
