Re: 2009 BorregoFest Coyote Canyon to Fonts (Friday) Run Report
We were running pretty late (I actually bolted the last of my exhaust repairs together on Friday morning
) and figured we'd catch up with everyone at Font's Point. It was a plesant surprise to find everyone still waiting at the campground when we got there - thanks, and sorry if we held anyone up.

Aw yes, Coyote Canyon. That is always a favorite. Its too bad we didn't have enough time to head up the rock garden and on back to the fence, but it was good getting to Fonts Point when we did. With the third water crossing as deep as it was, I would've have alot more water in the Jeep if I had taken the doors off. Of course I had to cross a few more times than usual to shuttle Autumn across to get everyone's pictures. We'll also have to keep that scetion of the historic Truckhaven Trail in mind for spring when the wildflowers start poppin' up. Oh, and a big thanks to Ollie for letting me lead so we wouldn't get dusted out in our open aired rig.
Heading up Yaqui Pass Rd.

Coming down into Borrego Springs.

Airing down at the trailhead.

Dropping off the photographer.

Third water crossing.

A little weedy.
