Bizarre--Where is the Coyote

Post by ssc » Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:57 pm

Handyman does work in the garage this morning. Wife calls me this afternoon and says he made a mess--knocked a bottle of wax on the floor. I doubt it. I get home and she is right. I also see a bunch of items knocked off the garage shelves and on the floor. I start picking items up and replacing on shelves. Wife wonders if we had an earthquake. As I am replacing something in a dark corner--I get that feeling something ain't right and something looks wrong  .

I jump back and the wife says, "What is it?" I don't want to feel like an idiot in case it is a rag, so I grab a flashlight and sure enough--I got a roadrunner perched on a shelve. :o

Where is Wiley Coyote when you need him? :D

Ollie,
No Clue. You are seeing what I am seeing. If he is still there in the morning--I left the garage open half way--I will call animal control. Unless you want to come up and get yourself a new pet. ;)

She is still there. I know roadrunners nest off the ground, but my research indicates mating and nesting is in the spring. She is alert and looking around. I don't know if something chased her into the garage or if she was chasing something into the garage. I really hope she leaves soon.

So I go in for a close look and she starts to run around the rafters. The garage doors are open, but she doesn't leave. Now she is somewhere up in the rafters and junk in the garage. No wonder they are from the Cuckoo family. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would call the Wildlife Officials or organizations that know how to remove them without harm. Beep Beep!

Looks like ya got a new pet! Try to get a few lizards and feed 'em to her.
