I know in the past there have been threads on coolers etc. Having gotten into the boating thing, I have read and heard good reports on the AOcoolers out of Corona. They are soft bags. They have a product line for boats and off roading. Has anyone used them? I am thinking of going by the factory and taking a look at them. Don't need anything for the boat--have built in coolers, but sounds good for wheeling. I think the website is aocoolers.com

Re: AO Coolers
Steve:
I've not heard of AO coolers, but they look like they might work.
I've tended to shy away from soft sided coolers, either for boating or off road use, due mostly to the expected abuse that they receive.
I must say that the one thing that they seem to have going for them though is that they are easy to use and move around. If you get some, let us know how they work.

Re: AO Coolers
Dave,
These coolers seem to be well respected in the boating world. I have spoken to the manufacturer and the difference is the cover materials. Offroad is vinyl and boating is canvas. If I get out of the office early today I will head down to the factory and get one. I will give it a work out and post a report.

Re: AO Coolers
I have 2 different sizes of AO Coolers. They work great, ice lasts a long time. They don't leak, unless turned upside down (don't ask). I load up a weekend worth of cold stuff into the biggest one, 40 lbs of ice, and the straps and handles handle the weight no problem. Almost too much for me to lift into my Suburban. I got mine at the OC Fair and then the 2nd one at the LA Fair. I also have one of their "roll a chair" camp stools with the back support. AWESOME!! Light weight, compact, very strong and amazingly comfortable. I'm 6-2 and a little north of 300lbs.

Re: AO Coolers
I have the 36 can size. It is a larger cooler. We used this weekend in Havasu. No leaks and it kept everything very cold. We even placed a bag of ice in the cooler and at the end of the day, we removed it and there was very little melting. The bag is now in our freezer. So far--very impressed. It kept things colder and the ice from melting better than my colman cooler I keep in the fj.
