I had to say goodbye...

Post by BorregoWrangler » Tue Dec 22, 2009 7:33 pm

...to an old friend today. Our cat Bugga was hit by a truck and killed today as he went after another cat across the street. He wasn't human but he was a living soul who brought an immeasurable amount of joy to my life. He's now buried in the backyard and will be missed.

Our new kitten, Mojo, who we decided to keep after finding him abandoned and hand raising him.

Wow John so sorry to hear about your kitty. Not everyone is fond of cats but I love them and we have had several over the past 20 years, they each have that special personality that grows on you. You obviously loved Bugga and only time will heal the emptiness, good thing you have Mojo to help ease the pain and keep you entertained. Take care and sorry again for your loss. :(

Oh, poor little bugga, no pun intended. I hope it was quick. What a handsome chocolate point though. My mom loved Siamese cats. We had several throughout my childhood. I think Siamese cats have the best personalities. I know it's hard. We lost so many cats over the years. At least he lived with a family that loved him. There are a lot of animals that never get to live in a home where they are loved like your little Bugga surely was. My heart goes out to you. But hey you got another cute little tiger there who gets to live in a good home.

Edit: how long did that ballon in the picture last? I'm surprised it was even long enough for you to get a picture!

Thanks guys, I appreciate that.

Yeah, it was pretty much instantaneous. He never saw it coming. I am glad for that.

Oh, it took alot longer than I thought it would! I was hoping I'd get a better picture when he popped it, but afterwards he wouldn't even get close to another ballon.

I really love cats, but my wife is allergic to the dander.

John,

I am so sorry for your loss. Being a cat person, I know the grief of saying goodbye to a kitty. My puddy, though indoor only, has made many trips in the FJ and the ford. He usually is with me on our trips to Havasu.

Hang in there, time helps, but it isn't easy.

Bugga looked like a really cool cat from your picture. It must be harder to lose them when they're still young.

I decided to be the nice guy and let my ex-wife take our cats. That was tough til I got a new one of my own. It was even harder when I went to visit and they wouldn't come near me. I'm sure Mojo is bringing enough joy to ease the pain of losing Bugga.

Gotta go. Need to buy some water baloons.

Oh man, John! That sucks! Bugga is beautiful. I once saw a dog of mine get run over by the rear wheels of a dump truck, so I know what a biatch it is to have a beloved pet die in that manner.
Between Sue and I, we have four cats. I have a gray and black tabby and a long haired calico. Sue has an orange tabby and a steel gray. We are also fostering two 10 week old kittens.
Please pass on my condolences to Autumn.
