Joe Elliot Jan 22, Snow Run

Post by salad_man » Sun Jan 24, 2010 9:43 pm

Great run up near Lytle Creek, stellar snow dump, about 3 feet near the top of Joe Elliot, as well as snow all the way up from the trail head, which hardly ever happens.

Sat for about an hour and accumulated that much snow

I've been up there once. It wasn't nearly as fun as your trip in the snow, though.

Is that the trail that goes through to Rancho Cucamonga?

Yes it is, it used to go through to Cucamonga Canyon, however that part of the trail is washed out now. That was the first time I have taken that trail though, and one of the guys up there with us had said that you can still take it to the camp grounds near that side of the mountains. I might be going again on Saturday with Lory and Steven who also met everybody on the board at Borrego Fest if anyone would be interested in going along.
