Baja after the rain...

Post by traveltoad » Mon Feb 01, 2010 9:26 am

Baja was hit hard by the recent rains. Really hard.

My friend Jack had a recent water encounter, totalling his truck, I paused a bit longer than usual at the water crossings.

Plenty of mud to be found:

And ruts...

Had to do a bit of road building...

At least we were moving unlike others...

We were all blown away that this guy made it this far with that little 2wd truck. Yeah... that is the road leading up behind it... and yeah that raod was that bad for many mile before he finally got stuck in the stream bed. (No on in the vehicle when we arrived).

That's awesome! I love how the storms can change trail conditions. Coyote Canyon in Anza~Borrego Desert Sate Park is pretty tore-up right now too.

That looks crazy, I went riding up in Lucerne Valley after it snowed a couple years back, that was rough, snow and two wheels don't do well together, ha ha.
