I don't know if we will do any hiking as I have a bad knee.
Maybe we will just stay with the vehicles and be the "command post" for the hikes.
I have been looking for an opportunity to take my son on a camping trip for a while. I go at least once a month by myself and it kills me to have to keep leaving him at home all the time.

Count us in!!
Excellent!!! It will be great just to get the kids out there. Now let's just pray for good weather. :D

My switch for my air pump needs to be rewired, I had some trouble with it and yanked the wires, but now I cant seem to get it working again. Just thinking mabey in the morning we could take a look at it.

This looks like it's turning into a potentially great weekend. I'll be bringing an offroad trailer and loading some wood into it on my way through Ramona. I will be bringing a wash tub burn barrel and I think Bobonel and FunJunkie are trying to each bring a burn barrel of some kind too. With three nurn barrels next to each other we should be able to have a nice fire going at night. Weather looks to be forecast as sunny with temps from 46 degrees to 71 degrees. So if each vehicle could bring a few dollars to donate for wood then that would be great I will have the wood covered. We will have some grills and stoves too so those will be open for people to use. The trailer has shelves to mount to it to prep food and set up a kitchen. I will also be bringing a couple folding camping trailers and chairs to use. I think, judging from the group, we will just camp out in the Little Blair Valley primitive camp.

I'm looking forward to this. I just need to shake this cold I came down with yesterday. :)

I'll be hauling some firewood out with me. I'm looking forward to getting away from the crowds and enjoying the desert! :D

John... I think I have the firewood covered. I'm bringing a trailer and FunJunkie told me where to pick up bulk firewood on the way through Ramona. I plan on passing through there on my way to Julian and getting a good supply of wood for us.

Ok Ollie, sounds good. I may just bring a bit for myself then if I decide to head on out there friday afternoon. Just gotta put the Jeep back together, though.

I'm loaded up and ready to go. Even got the wood already in the trailer. Time to get some shut-eye so I can be rested up. See you all at the Julian gas station around 9:00 am.
