Snow keeps until around June above 5000 feet. There are lots of trails in the Furnace Creek area. The Tom Harrison maps and the AAA maps are good. The Park Service website has good maps of what roads are legal.
John I hope you can hold a lot of fuel. Lone Pine & Olancha would be your only fuel source. You got a lot of driving to do.
