KI6IXX checking in.

Post by MotoAir » Wed Mar 24, 2010 8:47 pm

Hello!
I was introduced to this site by Larry at Dirty Parts while I was buying some 4x4 gear. I am the most inexperienced ham on the planet. I got my license in 2008 but shortly thereafter gave away all my equipment and radios so I'm starting over. Would love to learn and get back into the radio world.
My ride is a Jeep Sahara Unlimited that I take to Idaho and various locations for fun. Have just started doing some SoCal runs and looking forward to more. I am moving from SoCal to SoNevada but travel extensively throughout the western US.
My interests are Formula 1 (worked in it for a few years), MotoGP and flying.
Hope to meet some of you on the trail and hope you'll be patient while I ask very basic questions!
All the best,
John

Welcome to OAUSA, John !!!

Well be having a Meet & Greet at the Ham Radio Outlet in San Diego on 4/10/10...and that could be a great opportunity to meet a bunch of the folks at OAUSA, as well as get reacquainted with ham radio and the equipment available. We'll be demonstrating different modes and radios, and help folks program the radios they already have. And, of course, HRO has all the latest gear on display and for sale, should the urge strike...

John:

We're glad to be of help, if we can. We were all new at one time and I certainly remember how important it was to get help from the guys with experience. Don't be shy about asking questions.

Welcome aboard!!
