2010-04-02: Tahquitz Peak Hike/Backpack Trip

Post by OLLIE » Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:28 pm

A few of us are going to take Good Friday off to summit Tahquitz Peak above Idyllwild in prep for our Mt Langley trip in August. This trip is a 6.8 mile round trip hike. The elevation gain to the top is 3047 feet in that distance. People are welcome to come with us if you want. I think we will need to be at the trailhead to start our hike around 7:00 am. We plan on making this a day trip with day packs. I will post more info in the next day or so.

Well Friday is coming and I'm anxious for this trip. There's five of us going for sure. We need to keep our eye on the storm this week though. It may be a deal breaker. We'll see... :D

Been watching your pics on Flickr, looks like fun. I'm jealous, I have not had a chance to go visit any of the snow this season.
