Dennis,

I agree whole-heartedly. I'm glad that more and more 4x4 people are getting their licenses. There is a group here in San Diego that has it's own multi-site 2 meter system and a lot of them are into desert running. In the Anza Borrego SP, there was a Park Ranger who got his license so he could communicate with off-roaders in Borrego.

My 4x4 Ford Ranger is NOT a Jeep and it doesn't pretend to be one....It doesn't need to!

Hey all, Do many of the members also have their GMRS licenses as well or is that a smaller subset?

I have a GMRS license, but I think it is definitely a smaller group....I think there are a lot of folks who still don't realize you need a license to legally use GMRS frequencies...

By the way, I added you to the OAUSA Amateur Radio Operator Roster....

Thanks Larry. I also hold a GMRS license, WPZJ678, and I am both mobile and ht capable with commercial grade radios (Bendix Kings).
