Got a mag mount antenna to hook up my HT in the FJ and I have a few of questions. 1)Is it ok to run the antenna cable for the HAM along side the antenna cable for my CB? 2)How far apart should the CB and HAM antennas be spaced to avoid interference? 3) Taking the mag mount down every time I go in and out of the garage is a pain in the @$$... I'm short and the FJ is tall! What options do I have for an a HAM antenna that doesn't involve drilling holes in the FJ and won't stick up so high that I have trouble getting in and out of the garage?

The coax should be shielded well enough that you shouldn't get interferance.

As far as possible. I heard somewhere that more than 19" is the magic number. Some Elmers here will probably give you the real skinny.

Look at the Amatuer Radio Equipment Install forum. There are some threads on the Diamond K9000 motorized mount. The other option is the trunk lid mount attached to the rear door. Just attach it high enough that you can still reach it then remove the antenna when needed.
