Hello all, checking in from Nocal side. :D

Going to take my exam on the 22nd and should have my equipment installed by that time also.

Have a equip 05 4runner but unfortunately I made a wrong choice of going with a 2wd back when I first bought this runner, but I have gone many places a normal 2wd could never go and I try to hold my own but always venture with a buddy with 4wd in case.

I have been a long time active member of a few off road clubs but never one specific for both offroad and ham radio.

Thank you for letting me join the board.

WELCOME! Where in NorCal? I'm in NorCal 6x a year for family visits and Holidays. I'll be there this weekend for Mothers Day too. You want to do Hollister Hills sometime? Again, welcome!

Glad to have you here...

Ther's an old off road adage that the difference between 2WD and 4WD is about 50 feet...

Sounds like you're a wise wheeler, who understands the possible limitations of his equipment, and prepares for the worst-case scenerio...

You'll fit in here just fine...
