Greetings from San Diego; from a Denver, Colo. native.

Hello all and thanks for having me on this great site, in this great group. Thanks to the Moderator and SDNative for saying hello.
My name is Gary. I'm 30. I arrived in San Diego in April 1999 with the U.S. Marines. I served till '05 in Marine Air Group 11 as an F-18 mechanic (Seat Shop/AME). After that I moved to Pacific Beach, began taking sailing lessons, and in 2008 graduated from City College's Automotive Technician Course. Since then I've worked on my cars a bit, and done lots of sailing. I crew on other people's boats.
I have no 4x4, only (too often) 1 wheel-drive cars, a Civic and a Datsun 240Z. The Civic has seen lots of dirt, is predisposed to go into 1WD mode at inconvenient times, and likes to get stuck! I value even 2WD now, not to mention 4.
I'm hoping to meet some locals, and join them for a trip. I'm looking at Summerfest, so if you have room for a rider, please contact me. I have an open schedule and am available weekdays--a good way to avoid trail congestion. I hope to get a few adventures under my belt here in Calif., before permanently moving back to Denver later in 2010.
Bye for now! --Gary

Welcome to OAUSA, Gary...

I'm sure you'll find someone to co-pilot with....

FYI, the trails to the Summerfest campground are 2WD friendly, so even the Civic should make it (I've seen other small cars get there before)...

What is the reason for your move to Denver later this year ???

Welcome Gary! Used to have a '98 Civic myself. Traded it and a '95 4 Runner for the FJ.
