We had a very active net on Thursday that lasted for a little more then two hours, with over 30 check-ins. The subject of the net was local wheelin'/camping trips. We drew the limit at about 250 miles for these trips and, due to interest, only had time to discuss three areas, viz., Big Bear/San Bernardino Mountains, The Anza Borrego Desert State Park, and the Mojave Road. This will definitely be a re-occurring topic, but not always with these mileage limitations.
Next week the net will focus on firearms laws and we will have an attorney speaking on the subject.

Re: 6/5/08 OAUSA Amateur Radio Net
Does anyone record a wav or mp3 file of each net? If so, I'd like to get them so I can listen to what I missed.
I can't always listen or check in and the information on these nets is very good.

Yes, they are recorded. They are in wav format, I believe, and we are working on a way to make them available. If we can find someone to help us to make this happen, it will happen sooner. Right now Ken (KI6KUI), our IT/technical guy, is consumed with getting our site working as it should. He has done a great job and his efforts are much appreciated.

Re: 6/5/08 OAUSA Amateur Radio Net
This should enable sharing the files as a podcast (with iTunes support) within the Joomla website:
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The wav file would need to be converted to an mp3.
I'd be more than happy to assist with this.
