Hanna LandCruiser Cargo Carriers

Post by unwiredadventures » Fri May 14, 2010 6:15 pm

Before the Indian Country Expedition, I knew I needed more locations to safely store 5 gallon containers of water. I ordered a set of these from Hanna Quality. I have one set on each side. 20 gallons total of secure interior water storage!

Once installed, I added a shelf between the Hanna cargo carriers. Two lengths of angle steel from OSH. Using existing side bolts on the cargo carriers. Then bolted the plywood to the steel:

A perfect spot for one to sleep. I'm 6' tall, plenty of room:

During the Indian Country Expedition, I setup a tent if we camped more than one night in the same spot. I slept in the truck if it was windy or if we were camping only one night at the location.

I had a chance to see Frank's water carriers on the trip and they are very impressive. Quite well built and stout. There is a lot to be said for carrying your water inside the vehicle, especially as well secured as these are.

Now if I can just get Hanna to branch out to other vehicle types!
