Snow?

Post by BigDave » Wed May 26, 2010 4:45 pm

After leaving the M.O.R.E. Race on Sunday up in Lucerne Valley I noticed that it was snowing on the back side of Big Bear. I decided to see if I find a road that up that could get me up to the snow line. I headed up Camp Rock Rd and it dead ended into Hwy 18 where it was getting a light dusting of the white stuff. I went ahead and started up the 18 and stopped a couple of times to take pics. I wanted to go all the to Big Bear but i got up a ways and 2 Dually trucks with 5th wheel trailers decided to bump into each other and block both lanes. I ended up backing up a 1/2 mile in order to find a spot big enough to turn my rig around and head back down. I still had fun as it has been a long time since I've driven in the snow.

This one almost doesn't make sense given the conditions...

Wow, they're still getting snow up there? Nice! Snow driving is always fun.
