Well thank you very much. We have a Navy Blue 06 Jeep Rubicon, been lifted, 33's, with bunches of other mods. Jeep is also set up for also towing a modified "Trailgater" trailer that we use on extended trips.
Have been 4 wheelin in So Cal, this is our second Jeep and about 8th 4WD vehicle, Lucerne Valley area is great. Met a bunch of folks there and have been on some really great trips mine exploring and finding all the cool spots out there. Anza Borrego is probably our favorite since we did meet each other at Peglegs Rockpile so we return there as often as time & $$$$ allow. Other then that we have hit just about every area within 250 miles of Orange County and then some beyond. Have not tired of any of it yet. Really looking forward to exporing the Panimint Mountains area east to Death Valley.
Other then that we have got into Geocaching and been having a blast with that, trying to find all the cool remote caches.....

The screen name refers to my career trade.......electricians are nicknamed "sparky", sheet metal workers are "tin benders", carpenters are "nail bangers" and plumbers are called "nipple twisters" referencing the act of installing a short piece of pipe called a nipple which is threaded and hense having to be twisted to be installed.

As for radio rigs, got a Yaesu FT2900 2M in the Jeep, Yaesu VX 5R tri-band H/T and a Kenwood TM742 Tri Band as a base station.

We camp, fish, 4 wheel, hunt, explore, auto tour and just about anyting else we can find to do outdoors......along with dog hikes and now geocaching.....

Welcome, great interests, I know a few of us here on the board are wanting to get out to Death Valley for a first time or to re visit, so keep an eye out, otherwise they are putting on a great event in Big Bear at the end of June, maybe take a look.
