To my knowledge, and I checked, there was no event that would have taken the repeater out of use for general communication purposes.
What did they say and, if you recall, who said it.

Re: Keller Peak Repeater IRLP
They told us they had exclusive rights to the repeater for some event.
The person was a female who kept saying she was Bear Command, I think she said she was with some sort of search and rescue group.

I was aware that the Big Bear Repeater had that going on but not Keller.

Re: Keller Peak Repeater IRLP
We were trying to use 146.385 + PL 146.2 on Keller Peak and told us this freq was being used with permission from the repeater operators.
No biggie we just used simplex instead.
This was our comm plans but both option 1 & 2 was being used and restricted us, and option 3 repeater did not respond for some reason.
- Ham 146.460 (4WD Ch2)
- Ham repeaters
Option 1
146.385 + PL 146.2 on Keller Peak
Option 2
147.330 + PL 131.8 in Big Bear (Sugarloaf Mtn.?)
Option 3
147.645 - PL 103.5
