Mausers

Any Mauser Gurus here? I just picked up a 1945 La Coruna 8mm. It needs some work, and I would like to convert it to a sport rifle. I don't know much about guns.

You might want to place this in the firearms section. I am not a mauser person, but sounds like you have a spanish model 43. Does it have a straight bolt handle? I do not know if you can convert this rifle to a .308, but I tend to think so. Check with a good smith. Many mausers have been made into nice sporters. Get a nice stock that fits you and convert to 308, scope or nice irons and change bolt handle--just to start.
