2010-07-09: Carrizo Mountain & Jacumba Night Run

Post by BorregoWrangler » Mon Jul 05, 2010 3:52 am

Painted Gorge/Carrizo Mountain & Jacumba Night Run

This run has been canceled.

Whoa, I almost forgot that the trail through Painted Gorge and up Carrizo Mountain just reopened a few days ago. It's a little too warm for me out around Ocotillo during the day right now so I like heading out there at night. So anyone up for a night run later this week? Maybe also run around Jacumba and do the Mountain Springs Stagecoach Trail around Table Mountain or something?

The plan is to meet up on Friday evening around 7pm. I would consider these trails moderate, with very narrow, rocky, loose shelf roads. I'll update this post as needed with a meeting location, departure time, comms info, etc.

Date: Friday, July 9th 2010
Meeting Time: 7:00pm
Meeting Place: Carl's Jr parking lot, 1263 Tavern Road
Alpine, CA 91901
CB Channel: 36
2M Simplex: 147.570

Saw your post over at ExPo. Put me down as a maybe. I have a few things that might get in the way but hopefully I can get away.

P.S. I always hit up that Carl's Jr. on my way out to the desert. lol But last time they got my order wrong.

Update:

Sorry guys but I gotta cancel this run. Our great-grandmother passed away so I'll be spending time with the family.
