Yep, lots of very powerful Euro and Eastern Euro stations running right now. I racked up a few new countries to boot. Probably the second largest DX competition of the year and an easy (very easy) way to fill a log with DX.

Countries all over the world are represented by individuals and different clubs/radio leagues. The ARRL is the most familiar here, but all countries have similar organizations such as the JARL (Japan), DARC (Germany), RSGB (Great Britain), etc. All can be ID'd by the special callsigns used in this contest. Most end in "HQ" for headquarters and making contact with these stations earns add'l points.
Some of the stations contacted in these contests can create quite a geography lesson. Just when you think you've got the world figured out......you end up talking to some guy in Togo..........where in the he.....is Togo?

Well, you probably didn't hear much as I posted it way to late. I think it wrapped up shortly after you posted Larry.
