Oatman and the Hualapai Mountains

Post by ssc » Tue Jul 20, 2010 10:53 am

I am in Havasu until Friday. After reading Chazz's trip plans, they sound great. Sorry about the fender bender. This is last minute, but if anyone wants to join us, we are going to leave Havasu and go to route 66 up to Oatman. It is a neat little mining town with critters and where Clark Gable and Carol spent their honeymoon. Then stay on 66 to Kingman. Then run Hualapai Mountain north to south. I hope to get out of the heat for awhile. We are going to do this either tomarrow or thursday July 22. If anyone is interested let me know as well as what day works best.

Regards, Steve

Chazz,
With both of us spending so much time out here we need to hook up. I want to head down to Swansea Township as well. Hope your rig is back on the trail soon.

Indeed, although this time of year it is HOT out at Swansea. When we went last June it sat around 110.

As of September 1, we are Kingman permanent. ;)
