Check Out This Ass

Post by ssc » Thu Jul 22, 2010 9:56 pm

Jack-Ass 8-) . Left lake Havasu with a bit of a plan. Went through the Topock marsh and stayed on old route 66 to Oatman, AZ. It is an old mining town and has shops. They do the old west shoot em up show and it is a favorite biker destination. There are many wild burro's/donkeys that roam about. Stayed on 66 and headed into Kingman. We then headed south to the Hualapai Mountains. It was Chazz who gave a great heads up on this area. To say it was beautiful would be an understatement. Took the Flat mine trail--I think-- and got in 15 miles and stopped for lunch. The smell of the mountains-pines etc and the wind through the trees is always a welcome treat.

Dark clouds and thunder heads appeared, so we left the way we came. Even saw a young ram. A fun day.
Regards, Steve

Very nice! I always come across a few burros on our way out to the river. However, these guys look alot friendlier.

That's because they sell feed for the tourists to give them in Oatman.
