Chazz....couple questions. Are you seeing Gambels in bigger #'s this year? I don't know what kind of precip you rec'd last winter....but here, it was better than the two prior years (still not great). Just wondering if the Gambels may have rebounded a bit because of it. Your thoughts?....observations?

Oh yeah, they are everywhere. Mohave county got hit pretty hard this past winter and with the extra resulting food many species are out of control (particularly jack rabbits). I haven't been able to go on a ride/hike/hunt without running into several BIG coveys... often times there are so many of the birds it is hard to shoot at rabbit for fear of hitting quail. :mrgreen:

This season is going to be good.

Nice! I've seen some pretty good sized coveys around my family's ranch so I'm hoping that my usual hunting areas are supporting some good numbers this year. Dove season is also right around the corner.
