2008-06-12: Fire Arms Law in California

Last night's net competed head to head with the Lakers game. Despite the challenge, we did well. The subject was firearms laws in California. Our speaker, an attorney, provided information on the state of gun laws in CA. We went over two hours and had 29 check-ins. Not bad for a start up net on a night when many were glued to the b-ball game. Thanks to all who participated.

Although I don't plan on doing this myself, there is a group encouraging un-concealed (open carry) carry of guns:

We missed you.

I've heard of this group. Near as I can tell, they are trying to get some PR for their cause, which is either greater access to CCW's or fewer restrictions on the right to carry. If I were a betting man, I wouldn't give them very good odds in CA. Gotta give them credit for trying though!


And no, I won't be joining them either!!!
