"you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave"

Post by ecchamberlin » Tue Jun 24, 2008 1:45 pm

Just checking in to the site. Gonna looksee around a bit if yall don't nevermind... :geek:

To those of you who know me, please don't say anything to those who do not... :o LOL

Anyway:

I am Eric and my family and I do a bit of wheeling/camping from time to time. Ran into some of you fine folks on Adv 4x4 and a trail run or two. Also active on UltimateYota and TTORA forums.

Ollie has tried to get me into amature radio but I am as cheap as they come and the CB works okay... most of the time. I will break down and get licensed and buy a real radio someday.

A good day

Hey Eric, welcome back! It's really good to see ya.

Are you back in SD or still up north? If you're around, you should join us for the carveacre run in august (read: HOT).

Was that first pic from our table mtn run?

hey Craig and Eric

Yes the first pic is of our Table Mtn run. Still have not mounted the MTR I got from you as a second spare but will get around to it soon.

I am up in Ventura County during the week and commute down Fri nights and then head back to work on Sunday evenings. It is not a perfect situation but it is not even close to the worst either. Things we do for our country.... Should only be a geo-bachelor for a year, more than half of which I will be deployed anyway. Then my wife will get stationed up here with me also.

I am commuting in a little 99 Mazda Protege that I picked up literally from a little old lady with 48,000 miles. The Runner sits patiently for me in the garage.

I will not be able to make the Aug run but the next 2 weeks I will be off and in SD. So a day run would be perfect if anyone is interested.

Damn good to hear from you man!!! I hope we can get together sometime while you're back. If not to wheel then at least to talk over Starbucks or something. :D

Ah Mr Ollie
You have been busy my friend. I like what I see so far.

Yes I need my wheeling fix. Will probably start a thread when I get my dates all squared away.

Just sayin hey from Yokosuka Japan. I will be heading back to the States in mid Aug and am making time to get back into the off roading forums so I can get some trips lined up for some quality leave time with my family.

The forum looks great guys. I have some future trail run threads to read here I see. That is perfect becuase my rig shopping list has gotten out of control while on deployment since Jan. Heck yeah! :o

Been there and done Yokosuka brother... I feel for ya.

You make sure you let us know when your back so we can set up at least a day run. PM me and I'll give you my number unless you already have it. We can certainly set something up. My boy is with me in the dirt most of the time now when it's a day run.
