Hi All,

Not only am I new to the forum, I am also a new off roader. I live in Santee, CA and purchased a 2010 FJ Trail Teams a couple of months ago. I've been on a few SoCal runs (Otay, Valley fo the Moon, much of the border) but I'm looking forward to getting out to the desert.

Larry:

Welcome to OAUSA. You will have a great time at Borrego Fest and the "Pearls" run will give you an opportunity to see and experience some of the most scenic and interesting parts of the California desert.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum! I pretty much grew up in Santee, myself.

You've come to the right place. Glad you're making it out for the BorregoFest run I'll be leading. Just getting out there and continually increasing your experience on the trails is the way to do it!

Thank you...while you are not licensed yet, maybe we can inspire you to test for Your license at BorregoFest  . We'll be offering a testing session there, and some on-line studying and $15 is all it takes to get your Technician license. Check out the threads under ham radio licensing / upgrades or check out www.qrz.com , www.hamtestonline.com , www.eham.com, www.arrl.org for more information..

Regarding vehicle mods, when you're ready, I can help - I've got a great connection for parts and installation services...

Ollie:

A guy I work with who is an aquaintence of yours told me about the web site. He owns a Rubicon and lives in Southbay. He can't make it out this weekend because he has an outage at his plant.

Would that be a blue Rubi with train horns on the roof? He makes cameos on this website now and then.
