Re: November 18 -- Electrical Upgrades
I hope that everyone found the electrical upgrade net useful. Many thanks to Larry (W6LPB) for lending his expertise.
Here are some useful websites for useful information when planning electrical projects -
http://www.electrician2.com/calculators/elcal.html
This site has 24 different electrical calculators. The most useful are the "Voltage Drop for Any Voltage" and "Maximum Length for Given Voltage Drop".
http://www.amplepower.com
This is a boating oriented site but it contains a lot of useful information. They also offer great reference book "Living on 12 Volts with Ample Power". Its a little pricey ($29.99) but it contains a wealth of information on everything to do with 12 volt power systems.
I should have included this one too. Lots of Anderson power pole stuff -
