The only issue I can see is that OAUSA will have the Paypal fees to cover - so we'd have to make sure to cover that, too...BlueFJ wrote:I think Larry has a great idea there! Re: Keller Peak Repeater IRLP
That''s true. Every time we get a a Pay Pal payment, they take a percentage. This way, 100% goes to Keller. Plus, by having it go directly to Keller, we don't have to account for money coming into OAUSA that is not for our immediate purposes. Keeps the end of the year accounting much simpler, too.

Alrighty, point well taken. I guess it would be best to stick with the K.I.S.S. principle.
I'm in for $25. I'll write out a check tonight.
Edit: Check sent!

Re: Keller Peak Repeater IRLP
Thanks to everyone who has contributed. Our total now is at about $250.00, but that was from about a week ago. As soon as we can get a current total, after the first of the year, I will post the results.
As far as confirmation of donations are concerned, I have requested this information, but I don't expect that we will see anything until some time in January. For the moment, your canceled check will need to be your receipt. If there are any problems, please PM me.
If anyone would like, any further contributions will also help to make the IRLP a reality, sooner. Thanks again to all who contributed.

Re: Keller Peak Repeater IRLP
UPDATE
Keller Peak has purchased the IRLP equipment and it will arrive in the next week or so. Our plans to have it working this month may still happen but there remains one obstacle - snow. I hear there is about 4 feet of it covering the peak, making access very difficult. If conditions permit and a proper vehicle is ready, they may have access in a few days. We'll update as soon as we have more information. We'll also get information on an accounting soon.
Many thanks to all who contributed, including all of our OAUSA members, Trace Willette (KI6DPN) of The Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN) and Mike Ward (KG6WSL) of the the Rescue Net.
