Jan. 15 & 16th, 2011
I'll be camping out at Corral Canyon OHV Area (Bobcat Meadow Campground) over the third weekend in January, rain or shine. I'll probably head out late Friday night after work. On Saturday I plan on running most of the trails around Corral Canyon as well as Pancake Rock, just down the highway. On Sunday, I'd like to head out early to run the trails around the Jacumba and In-Ko-Pah Mountains- Elliot Mine, Table Mountain, etc. These areas provide trails from easy to very difficult, so there's something for everyone. I'll also be meeting up with a few Jeeps from Arizona to show them around the area.
Camping at Corral Canyon requires a National Forest Adventure Pass, which can be purchased at these locations:
Alpine Chevron
1145 Tavern Rd
Alpine, CA 91901-3817
619-445-5260
Descanso Ranger District
3348 Alpine Blvd
Alpine, CA 91901
619-4456235
As the date gets closer I'll post up more details. If anyone's interested in camping or just coming out for a day post up!
